Ribbon Cutting at Schlotzky's Deli

On Friday, December 23, at 9:00 a.m., the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Schlotzsky's Deli located at 603 East Greenville Street to celebrate the their new marketing signage and branding, along with new menu items and the introduction of Cinnabon to Anderson. As part of the festivities, Schlotzsky's will offer the regular Classic Cinnabon for $.99 all day on Friday (limit 2 per person...the regular price is $3.49).

Schlotzsky's in Anderson is locally owned and operated by Anderson native, Lou Hart, who has been a Schlotzsky's franchisee since 1987. Schlotzsky's opened on Greenville Street in 1995, and moved to their current location at 603 East Greenville Street in 1999. The money and effort Mr. Hart has spent on the restaurant is an indication of how bullish he is on Anderson.

In addition to adding the new Cinnabon bakery to the restaurant, Schlotzsky's has changed their menu to offer made-to-order salads and expanded their ''Pick Two'' options to allow for a choice of salad, soup, ½ sandwich or ½ pizza. In addition, they will continue to offer a great selection of sandwiches on their famous Baked-From-Scratch bread, sour dough crust gourmet pizzas, as well as chili and a selection of three different soups each day. Other changes include the repainting of the building internal and exterior in a new paint scheme, new counters, new art and graphics, updated point of sale system to provide faster service, updated menu boards, and completely reworked landscaping. They continue to offer free Wi-Fi for customers and will be adding a big-screen TV to the dining area.
