September is National Preparedness Month, and the theme is "Disasters Happen. Prepare Now. Learn How." To help our residents learn how to prepare for severe weather and other emergencies, Anderson County Emergency Management invites you to participate in our Prepareathon™ Expo on Saturday, October 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anderson Mall.
Last year's Hurricane Irma reminded us that even the Upstate needs to be prepared for a major disaster. This family-friendly event is being held in partnership with the South Carolina Emergency Management Division and FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency. It is FREE to the public, thanks to the generous support of Anderson Mall.
Come out and enjoy a day of family fun and participate in the "Passport to Preparedness" Scavenger Hunt. Those who complete it will be eligible for the prize drawing!
Free information, workshops, give-aways and more is waiting for you and your family. We'll see you there!
