DESCRIPTION:Updated Timeframe on Green Pond Landing & Event Center Closure\n\nGreen Ponding Landing will be closed to public from August 1-31\, 2019.\n\nAnderson County\, S.C.   Green Pond Landing & Event Center will be closed to the public August 1- 31. However\, the single lane ramp at Green Pond will remain open during this period.\n\nDuring the closure\, Anderson County will be construct its fourth phase of improvements at Green Pond:\n\n1. Launch Ramp turnaround expansion\n\n2. ADA truck/trailer parking improvements\n\n3. Roadway radii improvements\n\n4. Perimeter Road straightening\n\n5. Dual lane queue at top of ramp\n\n6. Pour in place wall construction\n\nFunds from the Lake Hartwell PCB Settlement will pay for majority of the above improvements.\n\nAnderson County will begin its fifth phase of improvements at Green Pond in January 2020. At this time\, Anderson County Public Works will begin building an amphitheater for fishing tournament weigh-ins. The launch ramps will remain open during this construction.\n\nSince its opening on December 19\, 2014\, Green Pond has hosted fishing tournaments with a combined economic impact of $56.1 million.
