SUMMARY:Community Conversations
DESCRIPTION:Communities across America\, Anderson communities included\, are dealing with some\n\npretty tough issues. Issues so tough and complicated\, that it's hard to know where to start\n\n\n\nSuccessful action can only start by listening and learning. Community conversations are\n\nall about listening and learning\n\nThey are the starting point to later move ideas to action\n\n\n\nCommunities have to come together and listen to each other and learn from each other\n\n\n\nAt United Way of Anderson County\, we fight for the HEALTH\, EDUCATION and FINANCIAL\n\nSTABILITY of every person in our community\n\nWe know that bringing people together to improve lives is an important thread in these conversations and local solutions\n\n\n\nFor successful community conversations\, diversity of voices is critical. Community\n\nmembers\, faith leaders\, employers\, business organizations\, youth\, elected officials\, and a\n\nvariety of community organizations should all be a part\n\n\n\nThe Community Conversations will be led by Greg Shore\, volunteer leader of the effort\, and\n\nfacilitated by Charles Weathers of The Weathers Group\n\n\n\nAll conversaions will be held at the Anderson County Main Library\, 5:30 - 7:00pmSeptember 7 Mental Health\n\nThe following is a schedule of the dates and topics:\n\n \n\n\n	September 21 Addiction\n	October 5 Conflict Resolution\n	October 26 Gangs\n \n\n\nFor additional information contact Cynthia Perry at 864.965.9450
